Abstract
Smrekov pisar jedan je od najopasnijih štetnika obične smreke. Praćenje populacije ovog štetnika sustavno se provodi u Nacionalnom parku Sjeverni Velebit od 2005. godine otkako je, od 2003. godine, primjećen porast broja potkornjaka. Praćenje se provodi lovom potkornjaka pomoću feromonskih klopki postavljenih na 12 reprezentativnih lokacija. Ulovi se zatim obrađuju u laboratoriju Šumarskog fakulteta, vrši se prebrojavanje i iz dobivenih rezultata određuje se fenologija i intenzitet napada, na temelju čega se donose zaključci o trendu populacije smrekovog pisara i mogućim štetama uzrokovanim prenamnožavanjem.
