Abstract
Učenje engleskog jezika najbolje je započeti u što ranijoj dobi zbog iznimne sposobnosti djece da s lakoćom usvoje i nauče strani jezik. Strani jezik trebalo bi učiti u poticajnom okruženju koje odgovara na dječje potrebe i uz pomoć odgojitelja koji poznaje dječji jezični razvoj i najbolje metode za usvajanje stranog jezika. Total Physical Response (TPR) jedna je od metoda koje uključuju pokret i aktivno sudjelovanje djece u procesu učenja stranog jezika. U radu je naglasak stavljen na ovu metodu i njezine prednosti i nedostatke. Nadalje, navode se i aktivnosti i pjesme koje su pogodne za rad s djecom primjenjujući Total Physical Response metodu. Osim ove metode, u radu će biti i napravljen pregled ostalih metoda učenja stranog jezika.
Abstract (english)
Learning English is best to start as early as possible due to the exceptional ability of children to easily adopt and learn a foreign language. Learning a foreign language should take place in a stimulating environment that suits the child's needs and with the help of educators who know the children's language development and the best methods for the adoption of a foreign language. Total Physical Response (TPR) is a method that involves movement and active participation of children in the process of learning a foreign language. In this paper, emphasis is placed on this method and its advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore, activities and songs that are suitable for working with children using the Total Physical Response method are also listed. In addition to this method, in this paper, there will be an overview of other methods of learning a foreign language.
