Glazba i pokret potiču cjelokupni razvoj djece, uključujući kognitivne, fizičke, društveno-emocionalne i kreativne domene.
Abstract (english) The aesthetic music education includes the search for love and beauty in art, music and motion. It creates opportunities for creative expression of emotions and ideas of pre-school children. Music and motion encourage the overall development of children, including cognitive, physical, socio-emotional and creative domains. Creative and spontaneous expression and movement emerge as children listen and respond. They are motivated to communicate, present ideas from their imagination, various thoughts and feelings – children create. Accordingly, children need to have a stimulating situation that enables them to express themselves creatively through music and motion. Attempting to better interpret the concept of musical creativity and creativity in children of early and pre-school age, the focus of this paper is primarily on clarifying the notions of creativity and creation, and their importance for the full development of the child. The emphasis is placed on the development of children's musical abilities, with special regard to the music competence of educators as a very important factor in encouraging the child's musical creativity. Children have musical education in preschool institutions in a way that their educator creates as many music situations as possible. These situations are singing, playing on rhythmic instruments, active and passive listening to music, and improvising on already familiar lyrics and melody. The competences of educators in music education are actually very important elements of this work. Research has shown that there are preconditions for conducting musical activities with children of early and pre-school age. Educators have the will and desire for work as well as for advancement, although it has been established that the musical competencies of educators should be improved since only a small percentage of educators utilizes the improvising method. An important finding of this research is that music education is surely being carried out in educational institutions but it has now a traditional approach while the musical creativity and expressing of children's initiative are being less nurtured.
