Abstract
Svrha ovoga rada je objasniti strahove, fobije i anksiozne poremećaje kod djece u predškolskoj dobi. Strah je prirodna pojava koja je sastavni dio razvoja svakog djeteta. Djeca doživljavaju strahove od najranije dobi, pa se već unutar prve dvije godine života suočavaju sa separacijskim strahom, strahom od nepoznatih osoba te sa strahom od jakih i iznenadnih zvukova. Anksioznost je također sastavni dio života pojedinca te ima adaptivnu svrhu, ali postaje poremećaj ukoliko se neprestano pojavljuje u životu neke osobe. Ovaj poremećaj opisujemo kao općeniti strah da će se dogoditi nešto loše, ali ne znamo što i zašto. Karakterizira ga osjećaj tjeskobe, nelagode, straha, uplašenosti, uznemirenosti te tjelesni simptomi poput ubrzanog rada srca, otežanog disanja, mučnina i sl. Često dolazi u kombinaciji sa nekim drugim poremećajem, posebice depresijom. Fobije uključuju pretjerane emocionalne reakcije, odnosno preplavljujući strah. One predstavljaju uporan i nerealan strah te izbjegavanje prijeteće situacije ili objekta. Zadatak odgajatelja i roditelja je pomoći djeci da se suoče sa svojim strahovima i da ga prevladaju.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this paper is to explain the fears, phobias and anxiety disorders in pre-school children. Fear is a natural phenomenon that is an integral part of every child's development. Children experience fears from the earliest age, and within the first two years they are faced with separation fear, fear of unknown people, and fear of strong and sudden sounds. Anxiety is also an integral part of an individual's life and has an adaptive purpose, but it becomes a disorder if it persists in a person's life. This disorder is described as a general fear that something bad will happen but we do not know what and why. It is characterized by anxiety, discomfort, fear, fright, anxiety and physical symptoms such as accelerated heartbeat, difficulty breathing, nausea, etc. It often comes in combination with some other disorder, particularly depression. Phobias include excessive emotional reactions, or overwhelming fear. They represent persistent and unrealistic fear and avoiding a threatening situation or facility. The task of the educator and the parent is to help the children to face their fears and to overcome it.
