The final work problem is focused on the analysis of the competitiveness of Croatian economy. Competitiveness of the economy, namely its realization and improvement, is the strategic goal of most states in the modern times. The structure of this final work was elaborated in five basic thematic chapters, which added concluding considerations and a list of literature, tables, pictures and charts at the end of the paper. This paper presents the views and explanations of Croatia's position through various indicators compared to the ten best countries in the world. Croatia has been facing with many problems and negative factor for a long time. All of them have negative influenced on economic development and its competitiveness. In addition, the main of them are unfavorable demographic trends, entrepreneurship and investment, education and human resources and sustainable development. Membership in the European Union has positive affected these areas that resulted better competitiveness. That has been confirmed by concrete researches. In the future it is important to provide more changes that will lead to long-term, prized and sustainable development and international competitiveness of the Croatian economy.
