Abstract
Cilj: Cilj istraživanja je ispitati stavove medicinskih sestara/tehničara o utjecaju primopredaje sestrinske službe na kvalitetu zdravstvene njege kada se primopredaja provodi usmeno među kolegama u sestrinskoj sobi u odnosu na primopredaju sestrinske službe uz bolesnički krevet. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 28 medicinskih sestara i 5 medicinskih tehničara (n=33) zaposlenih u Općoj bolnici Zadar. Primijenjen je upitnik konstruiran za potrebe ovog istraživanja, popunjavan je u dvije točke mjerenja s razmakom od dva mjeseca. Istraživanje je provedeno na dvije grupe ispitanika. Prva grupa uključivala je medicinske sestre/tehničare (n=20) zaposlene na Odjelima vaskularne kirurgije i neurokirurgije. Drugu grupu ispitanika sačinjavali su medicinske sestre/tehničari Odjela za neurologiju (n=13). Rezultati: Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da primopredaja sestrinske službe usmeno u sestrinskoj sobi doprinosi većem zadovoljstvu i boljim odnosima između medicinskih sestara/tehničara dok primopredaja uz krevet bolesnika oduzima manje vremena nego usmena u sestrinskoj sobi. Istraživanje je pokazalo kako medicinske sestre/tehničari iznose da primopredaja sestrinske službe i prijenos informacija između smjena nema nikakvog utjecaja na kvalitetu zdravstvene njege i informiranost bolesnika i njegove obitelji. Primjena strukturiranog obrasca u primopredaji uz krevet bolesnika nema utjecaja na poboljšanje kvalitete zdravstvene njege, na zadovoljstvo procesom primopredaje, kao niti na informiranost bolesnika i njegove obitelji. Zaključak: Usmena primopredaja sestrinske službe u sestrinskoj sobi doprinosi većem zadovoljstvu i boljim odnosima između medicinskih sestara/tehničara nego kada se odvija uz krevet bolesnika, iako je statistički potvrđeno da primopredaja uz krevet bolesnika oduzima manje vremena nego usmena u sestrinskoj sobi.
Abstract (english)
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine male and female nurses' attitudes on how shift handover impacts nursing care quality when the shift handover is being done orally amongst colleauges in the nurse room comparing to the bedside shift handover. Methods: 28 female and 5 male nurses (n=33), all employed in General Hospital Zadar, participated in this study. A questionnaire, constructed for this study, was applied and has been filled out in two measurement points in two-month interval. The study was conducted within two groups of participants. Nurses employed at the Vascular Surgery Department and at the Neurosurgery Department (n=20) were one group and the other group were nurses employed at the Neurology Department (n=13). Results: The results of this study indicate that the shift handover being done orally in the nurse room contributes to greater satisfaction and better relations between the nurses comparing to the bedside shift handover, even though the bedside handover takes less time than the oral handover in the nurse room. The study showed that nurses claim that shift handover and the transfer of information between shifts has no impact to the quality of nursing care and the awarness of the patient and their family. Using structured form in bedside shift handover does not impact the improvement of quality of nursing care, the satisfaction with the handover's process nor the patient's and their family's awarness. Conclusion: Oral shift handover in the nurse room contributes to greater satisfaction and better relations between the nurses comparing to bedside shift handover, although it has been statistically confirmed that bedside shift handover takes less time than oral shift handover in the nurse room.
