Abstract	Varooza je nametnička bolest zajednica medonosne pčele (Apis mellifera) uzrokovana hematofagnom grinjom Varroa destructor. Obzirom da varooza uzrokuje velike gubitke u pčelarstvu, postoji nužnost i zakonska obveza kontroliranja bolesti. Prepoznavanje i praćenje epidemiološke slike varooze na nekom području je temelj za uspješno suzbijanje iste. Trenutačno su za primjenu u veterinarskoj medicini, za kontroliranje varooze registrirana su tri veterinarsko medicinska proizvoda na bazi timola (ApiLifeVar, Thymovar i Apiguard). Obzirom da je prvo ljetno tretiranje pčelinjih zajednica obvezno, utvrđivanje učinkovitosti navedenih akaricida omogućit će preporuku pčelarima o izboru primijenjenih VMP-a kao i pravodobnosti tretiranja na istraživanim područjima. Stoga je cilj ovog istraživanja bio utvrditi broj otpalih grinja V. destructor prije i tijekom obveznog ljetnog tretmana protiv varooze, usporediti učinkovitost pojedinog primijenjenog akaricida na svakom pčelinjaku, međusobno lokacije pčelinjaka te povezati s pašnim i klimatskim prilikama na svakoj.
Abstract (english)	Varoosis is a parasitic disease of honey bees (Apis mellifera) caused by hematophagous mite Varroa destructor. Since varoosis causes great losses in beekeeping, there is a necessity and a legal obligation to control the disease. Identifying and monitoring the epidemiological picture of varoosis on a certain area is the precondition to prevent the disease. Currently, for use in veterinary medicine, for controlling varoosis, there are three registered veterinary medical products based on thymol (ApiLifeVar, Thymovar and Apiguard). Since the first summer treatment of bee colonies is required, determining the effectiveness of those acaricide will allow beekeepers the recommendation on the selection of applied VMP as well as the timeliness of treatment in the study area. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of fallen mites V. destructor before and during the compulsory summer treatments against varoosis, calculate the overall efficiency of each acaricide based on thymol, compare the effectiveness of each acaricide applied at each apiary, each apiary sites and connect with pasture and climate conditions on each.
