Abstract	Trend je općeprisutan pojam u svakidašnjem životu jer se o najnovijim trendovima može slušati u medijima, ĉitati u tisku ili na internetu, ali i u znanstvenim i stručnim ĉasopisima. Najvažnije je obiljeţje trenda očekivanje da će se utvrđeni smjer kretanja ili neki drugi oblik promjene nastaviti i u budućnosti. Najzastupljeniji trendovi u turizmu jesu: trendovi turistiĉke potraţnje, trendovi turistiĉke ponude, trendovi na receptivnim turistiĉkim trţištima i trendovi na emitivnim turistiĉkim trţištima. Krize, katastrofe i drugi nepredvidivi dogaĊaji negativno utjeĉu na turizam, posebno na onim receptivnim turistiĉkim trţištima koja su zahvaćena tim događajima. Kvalitativne i kvantitativne promjene nedvojbeno upućuju da je moderni turizam velikim dijelom određen ukupnim društvenim promjenama i da odraţava vrijednosne sustave koje donose.
Abstract (english)	Trend is a common term in everyday life because the latest trends can be heard in the media, read in print or on the internet, but also in scientific and professional journals. The most important feature of the trend is the expectation that a determined direction of movement or some other form of change will continue in the future. The most prominent trends in tourism are: tourism demand trends, tourist offer trends, receptive tourist market trends and trends in the emerging tourist markets. Crises, disasters and other unpredictable events have a negative impact on tourism, especially on those receptive tourist markets that are affected by these events. Qualitative and quantitative changes undoubtedly suggest that modern tourism is largely determined by total social changes and reflects the value systems they bring.
