Abstract	Od prve pojave do danas, superračunala su se uvelike razvila. Upravo zbog njihove moći i visokih performansi omogućen je veliki broj inovacija i otkrića u različitim aspektima društva kroz različita vremenska razdoblja. Svrha ovoga završnog rada je objasniti pojam superračunala, njihovu arhitekturu i način rada, te prikazati područja primjene superračunala na primjerima korištenja istih u Hrvatskoj i svijetu. Kao rezultat ovog rada istaknute su prednosti i izazovi superračunalne infrastrukture u okviru poslovnih i drugih okruženja, s obzirom na europske i hrvatske strateške ciljeve.
