Abstract
Začeci Lidla sežu u tridesete godine 20. stoljeća, kada je tvrtka osnovana u mjestu Schwäbischen pod nazivom Lidl& Schwarz Lebensmittel-Sortimentsgroßhandlung. Kasnije su se aktivnosti razdvojile na područje diskontnih trgovina prehrambenim proizvodima koje je preuzela tvrtka Lidl te na područje samoposluga i trgovačkih centara kao što su Kaufland i Handelshof. Danas Lidl, kao dio grupacije Schwarz, spada među 10 vodećih njemačkih maloprodajnih trgovina te predstavlja međunarodno aktivnu grupaciju s vlastitim nacionalnim društvima u cijeloj Europi. Tema ovog rada je poslovni subjekt Lidl, koji na području Republike Hrvatske posluje i društveno odgovorno djeluje već deset godina. Poslovni subjekt na kojemu je promatrana problematika društveno odgovornog poslovanja specifičan je jer se kod njega nalaze svi elementi društvene odgovornosti. Naime, promatrani poslovni subjekt se društveno odgovorno ponaša i prema svojim zaposlenicima, i prema lokalnim zajednicama u kojima isti djeluje, ali i prema okolišu
