Abstract
Sindrom karpalnog kanala jedan je od najpoznatijih i najčešće opisivani kanalikularni sindrom kod kojeg dolazi do pritiska na središnji živac, n. medianus. Ne može se uvijek sa sigurnošću utvrditi zašto dolazi do pojave sindroma. Karpalni sindrom se češće javlja u ženskih osoba, između četvrtog i šestog desetljeća, ali pojavljuje se i u ostalim dobnim skupinama. Simptomi obično počinju postupno, različita su intenziteta, od blagog mravinjanja, utrnulosti šake, sve do jake boli. Prije samog početka terapije radi se fizioterapijska procjena. Nakon što se prikupe svi potrebni podaci kreće se sa dijagnostičkim postupcima. Među najvažnijim dijagnostičkim postupcima ubrajaju se određeni provokativni testovi i elektromioneurografija. Sindrom karpalnog kanala možemo liječiti konzervativno (nekirurški) i kirurški. I konzervativno i kirurško liječenje dovode do poboljšanja simptoma ovog kanalikularnog sindroma.
Abstract (english)
The carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most known and most commonly described canalicular syndrome in which comes to pressure on the central nerve, n. medianus. It is not always certain to determine why syndrome occurs. Carpal syndrome is more frequent in women between the fourth and sixth decades, but occurs in other age groups. Symptoms usually begin gradually, with varying intensity, from mild tingling, numbness of the hand, to severe pain. Before the therapy begins, a physiotherapeutic evaluation is performed. After all the necessary information is collected, diagnostic procedures can be started. Among the most important diagnostic procedures are certain provocative tests ande electroenceurology. Carpal tunnel syndrome can be treated conservatively (non- surgically) and surgically. Both conservative and surgical treatment lead to an improvement in the symptoms of this channelis syndrome.
