In modern sport, anthropometric measurements and the determination of morphological characteristics have become an indispensable part of the preparation and monitoring of progress in athletes. By using anthropometric measures, they obtain accurate data on the optimal physical development of athletes. In particular, the body structure influences the level of manifestation of a number of specific swimmer characteristics (buoyancy, hydrodynamic position of the body in water, muscle tissue, etc.). The technique and choice of the method of swimming itself also depends on the body structure. Therefore, the achievements of athletes in a number of sports are significantly related to his anthropometric status, which further affects the biomotor skills of athletes. Someone's lifestyle determines his or her quality of life (well-being) and in this regard, the argument is that the key to a healthy lifestyle is an appropriate level of physical activity. The aim of this paper was to analyze and evaluate anthropometric characteristics and physiological indicators and the lifestyle of the Galeb MR water polo club from Makarska. For the purpose of the study, the following measurements were made: body height measurement, body mass, arm span, dominant arm length, BMI, blood pressure and resting pulse. In addition to the measurement, the respondents completed a three-part questionnaire. One section deals with data on years of life and length of training, and habits such as smoking, medication and supplements. The second part of the questionnaire concerned the assessment of time spent in sedentary activities during a typical day, and the third part concerned the consumption of certain types of foods in the usual diet of the tested athletes. The results show that water polo players from the Makarska area do not spend most of their time in sedentary activities, and their diets are diverse. Height positively correlates with arm span, hand length and foot length determined by the size of shoes. The resting pulse frequency ranges from 51 to 98 beats per minute. The systolic resting pressure of the subjects averaged 131 ± 12.3 mm Hg, while the mean resting diastolic pressure was 80 ± 7.6 mm Hg.
