Abstract
1. Uvod: Pojam menadžmenta proizlazi iz definicije ekonomije, čija je zadaća proučavanje oskudnih resursa koje proizvođači koriste radi proizvodnje određenih dobara i usluga, te raspodjele finalnih proizvodima na tržište. Najbitnije odrednice menadžmenta su: rad s drugima i pomoću drugih, ostvarenje ciljeva poduzeća, ravnoteža efikasnosti i efektivnosti, racionalno korištenje ograničenih resursa, promjenjiva okolina. 2. Cilj: Cilj ovog rada bio je prikazati osnovnu problematiku s kojom se susreću menadžeri koji vode malo ili srednje poduzeće, prednosti i nedostatke istih, te današnje stanje u Republici Hrvatskoj. 3. Rezultati: mali i srednji poduzetnici su u vrlo nepovoljnoj situaciji ukoliko izvore financiranja budućeg ili sadašnjeg poduzeća moraju potražiti iz vanjskih izvora jer im isti nude vrlo nepovoljne uvjete, koji ih na kraju dovode do financijskog sloma.
Abstract (english)
1. Introduction: The term management refers to an economic origin. Management focuses on two main goals. The first goal deals with the fact that the resources are limited and that there always exist scarcity of resources.The second goal focuses on how to distribute products to the customers. The most important determinants of management are: working with others, achieving company goals, balancing effectiveness and efficiency, using limited resources, and changing environment. 2.Goal: The goal of this paper was to show the major challenges and problems faced by managers who run small or medium businesses, list the pros and cons of small and midsize businesses, and analyze the present situation in Croatia. 3.Results: Small and medium entrepreneurs are in a very unfavorable situation if they have to use external sources of finance for their business because external sources offer very unfavorable conditions, which leads to a financial breakdown.
