Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The function of the application of ornamental plants in interiors is multiple. but choice is very limited because of ecological issues and ability of maintenance and care. This is particularly stressed in public areas such as hotel-gastronomic objects where plants should always be top quality and ability of care and maintenance are significantly limited because of the presence of the users themselves. The purpose of this study was to explore which plant species are the most common in interiors of chosen hotel-gastronomic objects in the city area of Šibenik, identify culture conditions, evaluate the state of ornamental plants according of their growth conditions, possibilities of care and maintenance and based on review of the results suggest the guidelines for improving the condition. After inventorying and data processing it was found out that the most common plant species is Ficus benjamina and the plant species of the genus Dracaena because of good adaptability to environmental conditions in the interiors of hotel-gastronomic objects.
