Abstract
Hrvatski športski konj i hrvatski toplokrvnjak relativno su nove toplokrvne pasmine konja u Hrvatskoj.

Parallel abstract (English)
The Croatian sport horse and the Croatian warmblood are relatively new breeds of warmblood horses in Croatia. Their breeding is still at the development stage and is highly influenced by other breeds. Both breeds count approximately 450 individuals in Croatia. A survey with the aim of determining the influence of breed on results in jumping competitions was based from the data collected from horse jumping tournaments in Croatia in the period from 2008 to 2014. A total of 19.088 horse and rider performances were analyzed. Croatian sport horse was proven to be a statistically better performer in jumping when the height of the obstacle was 100 cm and 110 cm, while in other categories analyzed breeds as well as the control group (Holstein breed) show non-significant differences in performance. In both breeds (Croatian sport horse and Croatian warmblood) it was determined that mares were “better jumpers” with statistically significant better results than stallions and geldings. The genesis of the two breeds was determined by the analyses of registered breeding pairs. It was found that the Holstein breed played a major role in Croatian sport horse genesis, while the Croatian warmblood have had a much bigger variety of breed in its pedigree, including more than 20% of breeding pairs without a full records in pedigree.
