Abstract	Pistacija pripada rodu Pistacia iz porodice Anacardiacea, jedino se Pistacia vera L. komercijalno uzgaja, jer ima plodove adekvatne veličine. Vrste pistacija uzgajaju se na 30º-40º širine i pogodne su za različita klimatska područja u svijetu. Najveći proizvođači su Iran, Sirija, Turska i SAD, a proizvodi se još i na Bliskom Istoku, Sjevernoj Africi i Južnoj Europi. Na području Zadarske županije su povoljni pedoklimatski uvjeti za uzgoj pistacija. Posljednjih desetljeća podižu se novi nasadi, a interes raste zbog visokih otkupnih cijena. Izbor sorte i tehnologija proizvodnje važni su čimbenici kako bi postigli visok prinos i ostvarili visoku zaradu.
Abstract (english)	Pistachio belongs to the genus Pistacia from the family Anacardiacea, only Pistacia vera L. is grown commercially, because it has fruits of adequate size. Pistachio species are grown at 30º - 40º latitudes and are suitable for different climatic areas in the world. The largest producers are Iran, Syria, Turkey and the United States, and it is also produced in the Middle East, North Africa and Southern Europe. In the area of Zadar County there are favorable pedoclimatic conditions for pistachio cultivation. New plantations have been raised in recent decades, and interest is growing due to high purchase prices. Variety selection and production technology are important factors in order to achieve high yields and achieve high earnings.
