Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Oilseed rape (Brassica napus L. ssp. oleifera) is the third most important source of edible plant oils in world. In the world it's grown on 30,2 million hectares, while in Croatia the area covered by oilseed rape varies from 8.413 to 28.723. The average oilseed rape seed yield in the world is 1,84 t/ha, and seed production is 55,7 million tons. Pollen beetle (Meligethes spp.) is the most important oilseed rape pest and whitout control it can cause yield decrease of 50 percent or more. It occurs in spring and bites oilseed rape floral buds so damaged buds not bloom. Population of adult form of the pest was collected at different sites in Varaždinska, Bjelovarsko-bilogorska and Sisačko-moslavačka county during 2013 in order to test susceptibility to pyrethroids. Laboratory tests were conducted according to the IRAC Susceptibility Test Method No: 011. Results show resistance on seven tested populations and two other populations were categorized as highly susceptible.
