Abstract
Kopriva je samonikla, višegodišnja biljna vrsta koja spada u skupinu ljekovitog bilja. Vrlo je prilagodljiva te široko rasprostranjena po svijetu. Njezina ljekovitost poznata je od daleke prošlosti, no posljednjih godina kopriva dobiva veliki značaj te postaje jedna od perspektivnijih biljnih vrsta. Osim u medicinske svrhe primjenjuje se u prehrambenoj, tekstilnoj i kozmetičkoj industriji. Upravo se zbog sve veće uporabe kopriva počela uvoditi u poljoprivrednu proizvodnju. Primjenom novijih tehnologija uzgoja kao što je hidroponski uzgoj, mogu se eliminirati problemi koji nastaju u uzgoju na otvorenom te time ostvariti veći prinos i bolja kvaliteta biljnog materijala. U provedenom istraživanju kopriva je uzgojena u zaštićenom prostoru, u plutajućem hidroponu. Cilj istraživanja bio je usporediti komponente prinosa koprive na dvije različite hranjive otopine (sastava planiranog prema Tesiju i Osvaldu) te tri različite gustoće sjetve (0,78 g/m2, 1,16 g/m2 i 1,56 g/m2). Tijekom istraživanja ostvarene su dvije košnje nadzemne mase koprive pri čemu su analizirani masa biljke, broj listova, duljina listova, širina listova, broj nodija, visina biljke i ukupni prinos svježe herbe. Nakon obavljene obje košnje, najveći prinos ostvaren je u hranjivoj otopini po Tesiju (1,06 kg/m2) pri čemu je tek nakon druge košnje postojala statistički značajna razlika u odnosu na drugu hranjivu otopinu (0,64 kg/m2). Što se tiče gustoće sjetve, najveći prinos (0,90 kg/m2) ostvaren je pri najgušćoj sjetvi i bio je signifikantno veći u odnosu na preostale dvije testirane gustoće sjetve.

Stinging nettle is a wild, perennial plant that belongs in a group of medicinal herbs. It's very adaptable and widespread in the world. Her healing properties were known in past, but in last few years, stinging nettle gets great importance and it's becoming one of the most perspective plant, and is not only used in medicine, but also in food, textile and cosmetic industry. Because of her high usage, stinging nettle is getting introduced in agricultural production. Using the newer technology, like hidroponic cultivation, problems from the open field production could be eliminated, and therefore get greater yield and better quality of plant material. In a research, stinging nettle was grown in the greenhouse, in a floating hydropon. The objective was to compare the yield components of stinging nettle grown in two different nutrient solutions (according to Tesi and Osvald), and in three different plant densities (0.78 g/m2, 1.16 g/m2, 1.56 g/m2). During the research, two harvests of green mass were realized and the number of leaves, lenght and width of the leaves, number of nodes, plant height and yield were analyzed. After both harvests were done, the highest yield (1.06 kg/m2) was achieved in a nutrient solution by Tesi. It was significantly, higher than yield achieved in a nutrient solution by Osvald (0.64 kg/m2). The highest yield was achieved at the highest sowing density (0.90 kg/m2) and was significantly higher than on two other densities.
