Abstract
Mala vodena leća (Lemna minor L.) izložena je djelovanju fenilurea herbicida izoproturona u hranjivoj otopini. Uspoređeno je djelovanje izoproturona u hranjivoj otopini. Uspoređeno je djelovanje izoproturona na L.minor pri kontinuiranom izlaganju u periodu od 21 dan te pulsnim izlaganjima ( 2d-puls: tri izlaganja sa po dva dana tretmana i pet dana oporavka te 3d-puls: tri dana tretmana izoproturonom i četiri dana oporavka u čistoj hranjivoj opotini). Tretman izoproturonom toksičan je za L. minor , što je za posljedicu imalo promjene u prirastu broja biljaka, akumulaciji svježe i suhe mase, koncentraciji fotosintetskih pigmenata i proteina te aktivnosti antioksidacijskih enzima kao ekotoksikiloških molekularnih biomarkera pojave oksidacijskog stresa. Vodena leća L. minor može poslužiti kao eksperimentalni model za proučavanje štetnog djelovanja herbicida na bilke u vodenim ekosustavima. Istraživanja utjecaja višestrukih pulsnih izlaganja ne-ciljnjih vrsta ksenobioticima, uz standardne testove toksičnosti mogu doprinijeti točnijoj procjeni rizika utjecaja na okoliš.

Parallel abstract (English)
Common duckweed (Lemna minor L.) plants were treated with different concentrations of phenylurea herbicide isoproturon in nutrient solution. The effect of isoproturon on L. minor in continuous exposure during 21 days and pulsed exposures (2d-puls: three exposures with two days of treatment and five days of recovery and 3d-puls: tree days of isoproturon treatment as well as four days of recovery in pure nutrient solution) were compared. Isoproturon was toxic to L. minor, causing inhibition of plant growth, changes in fresh and dry mass accumulation, concentration of photosynthetic pigments and proteins, as well as antioxidative enzymes activity as ecotoxicological molecular biomarkers of oxidative stress. L. minor can be used as a model for further study of harmful herbicide effects on plants in aquatic ecosystems. Investigations on the effects of multiple pulse exposure of non-target species to xenobiotics parallel with standard toxicity tests can contribute to a more accurate environmental impact assessment.
