Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The basis of the regional policy of the European Union is solidarity, but not any kind of solidarity, but its financial. That financial solidarity should ensure that each and every one of EU Member States with its regions to have access to equal opportunities to take advantage of that is dominated by the single market, but with this and also to take advantage of the benefits of economic and monetary union. The form of financial assistance in the sense of realization of different project ideas are European Union funds. The main funds of regional policy of the European Union are: the Cohesion Fund, the European Regional Development Fund and European Social Fund. Of the other funds in the context of the regional policy of the European Union, we must highlight the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. In the framework of the regional policy of the European Union for the period from 2014 to 2020, a strategy Europe 2020 has been enacted. This strategy is geared towards encouraging growth, where the main emphasis is put on a better quality of life and creating jobs. The goals that were presented in the Europe 2020 Strategy are focused on growth that is, above all, sustainable and also provides good direction for society as a whole.
