Abstract	Maloprodajna struktura se može definirati kao skup svih maloprodajnih formata na pojedinom tržištu. Prilikom istraživanja maloprodajne strukture u Hrvatskoj i nekim zemljama Europske Unije objasniti ću maloprodajne formate, konkurentnost unutar i između formata te njihovu zastupljenost na domaćem i stranom tržištu. Također, objasniti ću i ulogu nedavne gospodarske krize te efekte koji su iz nje proizašli. Objasniti će se promjena u maloprodajnoj strukturi te inovacije koje su iz toga proizašle. U empirijskom dijelu istražiti će se kretanja maloprodajnog prometa i usporediti stanje u Hrvatskoj s nekim zemljama Europske Unije.
