Abstract	Rad prikazuje razvoj informacijske pismenost, modele i standarde informacijske pismenosti. Koncept rada baziran je na dostupnosti informacija u obrazovnom procesu – opisana je uloga školske knjižnice u širenju informacijske pismenosti te je dan primjer poučavanja informacijske pismenosti kroz sadržaje nastave hrvatskoga jezika. Potvrđuje se važnost provođenja programa informacijskog opismenjivanja koji rezultira cjeloživotnim učenjem.
Abstract (english)	The paper deals with the development of information literacy, as well as models and standards of information literacy. The paper outline is based on the information availability in the educational process – the role of school library in the dissemination of information literacy is described and the example of teaching information literacy through the construct of Croatian language teaching is given. The importance of implementing the programme of information literacy, which results in lifelong learning, is confirmed.
