Abstract	Ovaj rad prikazuje temu usmjerenosti na dijete u pedagogiji Marije Montessori. Temelji Montessori pedagogije su uvjerenja da je dijete aktivno u svojem odgoju i da je u središtu odgojno-obrazovnog procesa. Sukladno tome, prikazuju se spoznaje koje se Maria Montessori iznosila promatrajući djecu u njihovoj spontanoj aktivnosti. Osvješćivanjem važnosti poznavanja razvoja djeteta omogućila je uporište za organizaciju pedagoški oblikovanog okruženja, a upravo je ono jedno od važnih pedagoških aspekata njene pedagogije. Cilj njene pedagogije je omogućiti djetetu da se razvije u samostalnu i odgovornu osobu koja može donositi odluke vezane za razvoj. Naglašavala je da se to može postići isključivo kada djetetu indirektno pomognemo da sve što može učini samo. Cilj ovog završnog rada je prikazati važnost uočavanja i prepoznavanja djetetovih potreba te upoznavanje s mogućnostima djece rane i predškolske dobi.
Abstract (english)	This paper is about child centeredness in the pedagogy of Maria Montessori. The foundation of Montessori pedagogy is the assurance that a child is active in its upbringing and that they are in the center of educational process. According to this cognitions are shown which Maria Montessori brought out while observing children in their spontaneous activities. Being aware of the importance of knowing the development of a child provided a foothold for an organization of the pedagogical environment. The objective of her pedagogy is to enable a child to develop into an independent and responsible person that can make decisions related to development. She emphasized that it can be done exclusively when help a child indirectly that they can do anything by themselves. The objective of this thesis is to show the importance of noticing and acknowledging a child’s needs and learning the possibilities of a child in early and preschool age.
