Abstract	Im ersten, theoretischen Teil der Diplomarbeit zum Thema Nationalsozialismus und Flucht in Judith Kerrs Roman Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl werden die Definition, Klassifikationskriterien und Texteigenschaften, die die Kinder- und Jugendliteratur ausmachen, erklärt. Außerdem wird auch auf die Vorteile und Nachteile des Einsatzes von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur im DaF-Unterricht eingegangen. Im zweiten Teil liegt der Fokus auf Kinder- und Jugendliteratur nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Es werden die Kategorien der Exilliteratur für Kinder und Jugendliche bestimmt, wobei Judith Kerr als Vertreterin der Exilliteratur vorgestellt wird. Im dritten Teil werden zahlreiche, bis heute aktuell gebliebene Themen angesprochen, die in Kerrs Roman aus der Kinderperspektive vermittelt werden, vor allem das Thema des Schicksals politischer Flüchtlinge vor dem Nationalsozialismus. Außerdem werden die inhaltlichen, soziopolitischen und narrativen Besonderheiten des Romans analysiert. Im vierten Teil werden zwei Didaktisierungsvorschläge des Kinder- und Jugendromans Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl zur Darstellung der Vorteile des Einsatzes von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur im DaF-Unterricht präsentiert.
