By accepting the European Asylum Acquis, the Republic of Croatia has harmonized the issues of migration and integration of persons under international protection in their society with the acquis communautaire. The implementation of the legislative framework with regard to the labour market integration of these persons, focusing on integration into the labour market does not mean that the system will function without involving all actors involved in the integration process because the dimensions of integration are related. The absence of an integration system in practice in the Republic of Croatia leads to a situation in which civil society organizations assume the role of institutions for employment of persons under international protection. This paper analyzes the way in which the employment policies of refugees and asylum seekers work, which employment mechanisms exist and what barriers appear for the integration oft his group of people into the labour market. The research is based on qualitative research methods, and the dana in this research were collected through a method of semi-structured interviews with refugees and asylum seekers, as well as those who are actively involved in migration and integration issues in the labour rmarket. Given the lack of research on this topic in the Republic of Croatia, this paper presents the current situation regarding the inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers on the Croatian labour market.
