Abstract Gastroenterološke bolesti odnosno bolesti probavnog sustava danas se sve češće javljaju kako kod odraslih tako i kod djece te su time sve veći problem današnjice. One zahvaćaju usnu šupljinu, jednjak, želudac, dvanaesnik, tanko crijevo, debelo crijevo, jetru, žučnjak, žučovode i gušteraču. Gastroenterološke bolesti mogu biti prirođene, neke mogu započeti u najranijoj životnoj dobi, a neke se mogu pojaviti kasnije tijekom života. Vrlo je važno na vrijeme prepoznati i otkriti gastroenterološke bolesti te na vrijeme početi s njihovim liječenjem. Osnovni simptomi po kojima se mogu prepoznati gastroenterološke bolesti su povraćanje, bol u trbuhu, enkopreza tj. nekontrolirano ispuštanje stolice, proljev ili opstipacija, disfagija odnosno otežano gutanje, meteorizam, anoreksija i krvarenje. Prilikom liječenja gastroenteroloških bolesti kod djece vrlo je bitna potpora roditelja, liječnika, medicinskih sestara, ali i dječjih psihologa i psihijatara.
Cilj istraživanja je statistički prikazati znanje redovnih studenata sestrinstva na Fakultetu zdravstvenih studija u Rijeci o gastroenterološkim bolestima kod djece. Istraživanje je provedeno anonimnom anketom zatvorenog tipa koja je sadržavala 20 pitanja s ponuđenim višestrukim odgovorima. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 79 studenata, od toga 24 studenta na prvoj godini studija, 27 studenata na drugoj godini studija te 28 studenata na trećoj godini studija. Istraživanjem se pokazalo da je 51% studenata odgovorilo točno, a 49% netočno na sva postavljena pitanja.
Na temelju ovog istraživanja možemo zaključiti da redovni studenti sestrinstva Fakulteta zdravstvenih studija u Rijeci imaju adekvatno znanje o gastroenterološkim bolestima kod djece.
Abstract (english) Gastroenterological illnesses or digestive system diseases are more and more common in adults and children today, and are becoming more and more a problem today. They affect the oral cavity, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, liver, gall bladder, gall bladder and pancreas. Gastroenterological illnesses may be natural, some may start at the earliest age, and some may occur later in life. It is very important to recognize and detect gastroenterological diseases in a timely manner and to begin with their treatment on time. The basic symptoms of gastroenterological illnesses are vomiting, abdominal pain, anesthesia, uncontrolled throat release, diarrhea or constipation, dysphagia or difficulty in swallowing, meteorism, anorexia and bleeding. In the treatment of gastroenterological diseases in children, it is very important to support parents, doctors, nurses, as well as children's psychologists and psychiatrists. The aim of the research is to show the knowledge of regular nursing students at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Rijeka about gastroenterological diseases in children. The survey was conducted by an anonymous closed type questionnaire that contained 20 questions with multiple responses provided. 79 students participated in the study, of which 24 students in the first year of study, 27 students in the second year of study and 28 students in the third year of study. The survey showed that 51% of respondents answered correctly and 49% were wrong on all the questions asked. Based on this research we can conclude that regular nursing students at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Rijeka have adequate knowledge of gastroenterological diseases in children.
