Abstract	U Hrvatskoj prevladavaju tri tipa narodnih nošnji prema geografskom položaju: panonski, dinarski i jadranski. Na otocima su nekada, kao dnevna oprava, u upotrebi bile narodne nošnje koje se danas mogu vidjeti u muzejima, arhivima i na raznim kulturnim manifestacijama. Vrgada je zadnji otok koji upravno pripada Zadarskoj županiji, premda je u povijesti češće bio usmjeren ka Šibeniku. S obzirom na to da nedostaju cjeloviti zapisi o vrgadinskom tradicijskom ruhu, na temelju literature i terenskog istraživanja nastojalo se uočiti prisutnost i izgled nekadašnje nošnje. Osim izgleda, usporedilo se jezično poznavanje naziva dijelova oprave među današnjim stanovnicima Vrgade s nazivima koje je u Rječniku govora otoka Vrgade 1973. zabilježio hrvatski jezikoslovac Blaž Jurišić. Ovim se radom tako potvrdila prisutnost narodne nošnje na otoku u kontekstu hrvatske kulture.
Abstract (english)	In Croatia three types of traditional costumes dominate by geographic position: Panonian, Dinaric and Adriatic. On the islands traditional costumes were used as a daily clothing piece, which can today be seen in museums, archives and various cultural events. The island of Vrgada is the last island that administratively belongs to Zadar County, although in the past it was more frequently directed towards Šibenik. Given that there are no complete notes on the traditional costume of island Vrgada, the literature and field research attempted to determine presence and appearance of the former costume. In addition to the look, the language knowledge of parts of the costume among today's inhabitants of Vrgada was compared with the expressions found in book called Rječnik govora otoka Vrgade, from 1966., whose author is Croatian philologist Blaž Jurišić. This work thus confirmed the presence of folk costumes on the island in the context of Croatian culture.
