Abstract
U ovom radu opisana je povijest veteranskog natjecanja u svijetu, Europi i Hrvatskoj, te sami sustav natjecanja koji obuhvaća veteranske kategorije, veteranske discipline i rekorde (svjetske, europske i hrvatske). Kategorije su određene prema starosnoj dobi, u rasponu od pet godina, a unutar njih i odgovarajući broj atletskih disciplina. U ovome radu će se prikazati samo dio disciplina iz natjecateljskog programa i to one koje su najinteresantnije za hrvatske natjecatelje.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the history of masters athletics competition in the World, Europe and Croatia, and the competition itself. which includes veteran categories, veteran disciplines and records. The categories are determined according to age, in the range of five years, and within them the appropriate number of athletics disciplines. This paper will present only a part of the disciplines from the competition program, namely those that are most interesting for Croatian competitors.
