Abstract Planiranje i programiranje osnova su svakog trenažnog procesa. Jednogodišnju periodizaciju u kolektivnim sportovima karakterizira relativno dug natjecateljski period.
Pravilnom izmjenom rada i odmora regulira se krivulja opterećenja, a samim time i razina sportske forme. Znanje i kreativnost trenera veoma su važni za izradu samog plana i programa, njegovu kontrolu i eventualne korekcije.
Abstract (english) Planning and programming are both basis of every training process. Assessment of initial condition of physical preparedness, player’s as well as team’s quality level and potential are a prerequisite for creating training plan and program. Program contents are instruments to achieve set goals in a certain time period (periodization). Those instruments refer to various exercises, work methods and load distribution. One year periodization in team sports is characterized by relatively long competition period. Basketball team structure and set goal determine the approach in a competition period. If the team consists mainly of young players then the first part of competition period is considered as an extension of preparation period. Some of the training types and program contents will repeat in the competition period as well. That refers to modified conditioning training that are distributed in each microcycle. High level of conditioning enables to young players to participate in training process and games, regardless of the lack of technical – tactical knowledge and experience.
The goal of this paper is to show two different types of competition period in basketball. The specifics of the competition period containing one and two games are presented through the weekly and monthly training plan. Tabular representations of a certain training type and arrangement in microcycle and mesocycle facilitate the control and management of the training process. Proper alternation of work and rest regulates the load curve, and thus the level of sports form. The knowledge and creativity of the coach are very important for development of the plan and program, its control and possible corrections.
