Abstract	Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrđivanje učinkovitosti pročišćavanja otpadnih voda na Uređaju za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda grada Čakovca tijekom travnja 2011. Praćeni su sljedeći parametri: ukupna suspendirana tvar, KPK, BPK5, ukupni dušik i ukupni fosfor. Navedeni uređaj vrši pročišćavanje drugog stupnja s ispuštanjem otpadne vode u manje osjetljivo područje. Sastoji se od dijela za mehaničku i biološku obradu otpadne vode te linije obrade mulja. Srednje vrijednosti u pročišćenoj vodi za travanj bile su: za suspendiranu tvar 12,5 mg/l, za KPK 30,3 mg/l, za BPK5 4,0 mg/l, za ukupni dušik 19,5 mg/l i za ukupni fosfor 1,4 mg/l. Srednje vrijednosti učinka uklanjanja iznosile su za suspendiranu tvar 96,4 %, za KPK 94,7 %, za BPK5 98,3 %, za ukupni dušik 12,1 % te za ukupni fosfor 54,8 %.
Abstract (english)	The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of wastewater treatment at the wastewater treatment plant Čakovec during April 2011. The following parameters were monitored: total suspended matter, COD, BOD5, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. Wastewater treatment plant Čakovec is the second degree wastewater treatment plant with discharge into less sensitive area. It consists of a line for mechanical and biological treatment of waste water and of sludge treatment line. Mean values in the purified water in April were: for the suspended matter 12,5 mg / l, for the COD 30,3 mg / L for BOD5 4,0 mg / l for total nitrogen 19,5 mg / l and for the total phosphorus 1,4 mg / l. The mean values of removal effect were: for suspended matter 96,4%, for COD 94,7% , for BOD5 98,3% , for total nitrogen 12,1% and for total phosphorus 54,8%.
