Abstract	Hidroponski i akvaponski sustavi predstavljaju načine uzgoja biljaka u vodi koja je obogaćena hranjivim tvarima. Istraživanje koje je trajalo od 27. ožujka do 31. svibnja 2023. godine provedeno je u zatvorenom prostoru na prizemlju zgrade Fakulteta agrobiotehničkih znanosti u Osijeku. Glavni cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi morfološke razlike kod špinata (Spinacia oleracea L.) uzgajanog u plutajućem akvaponskom sustavu u usporedbi s hidroponskim sustavom. Analizirani su broj i dužina listova, duljina korijena, svježa i suha masa listova i korijena te ukupni prinos špinata. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su razlike u morfološkim karakteristikama špinata uzgojene u različitim sustavima. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju na to da su vrijednosti ispitivanih parametara uglavnom veće u hidroponskom uzgoju u usporedbi s akvaponskim sustavom. Stoga, možemo zaključiti da se u ovom istraživanju za uzgoj špinata boljim pokazao hidroponski sustav u usporedbi s akvoponskim sustavom u kojem su biljke imale manje vrijednosti morfoloških pokazatelja rasta i razvoja te u konačnici imale manji prinos.
Abstract (english)	Hydroponic and aquaponic systems are ways of growing plants in water that is enriched with nutrients. The research, which lasted from March 27 to May 31, 2023, was conducted indoors on the ground floor of the building of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek. The main goal of the research was to determine the morphological differences in spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) grown in a floating aquaponic system compared to a hydroponic system. The number and length of leaves, length of roots, fresh and dry mass of leaves and roots and the total yield of spinach were analyzed. The research results showed differences in the morphological characteristics of spinach grown in different systems. The obtained results indicate that the values of all examined parameters are generally higher in hydroponic cultivation compared to the aquaponic system. Therefore, we can conclude that in this study, the hydroponic system performed better for growing spinach compared to the aquaponic system in which the plants had lower values of the morphological indicators of growth and development and ultimately had a lower yield.
