Abstract
Lučko poslovanje predstavlja kompleksan pojam koji objedinjuje brojne čimbenike u luci čije djelovanje mora biti usklađeno kako bi ono bilo rentabilno. Luka Hamburg, koja se nalazi među 15 najvećih kontejnerskih luka svijeta, mora primjenjivati brojne teorije, simulacije i metode kojima bi opravdala svoj status i rentabilnost poslovanja. U ovom radu ispitana je rentabilnost poslovanja u luci Hamburg za period od 1.7.2015. do 15.7.2015. i to primjenom teorije redova čekanja, a u svrhu određivanja optimalnog broja pristana na kontejnerskim terminalima tvrtke HHLA. Ukazat će se na činjenicu kako su lučki kapaciteti predimenzionirani, tj. neiskorišteni za zadani period. Dobiveni rezultati analizirat će se s mogućim uzrocima takve neiskorištenosti temeljem rezultata poslovanja za prvi kvartal 2015. godine.
Abstract (english)
Port operations are complex concept that includes many factors in port whose actions must be coordinate in order to earning profit. Port of Hamburg, one of the 15 biggest container ports in the world, must apply numerous theories, simulations and methods in order to justify its status and profitability. In this master thesis is examined just mentioned profitability in port of Hamburg for the period from 1.7.2015. to 15.7.2015. applying queue theory to determinate the optimal number of berths at container terminals HHLA company. Point to the fact port capacities are oversized, i.e. unused for the given period. These results will be analysed whit the possible causes of underutilization on the basis of results for the first quarter of 2015.
