Abstract	U ovom diplomskom radu prikazan je povijesni razvoj računarstva. Predstavljeni su izumi koji su bili revolucionarni s obzirom na vrijeme kada su nastali. Posebno je istaknut Turingov stroj kojeg je osmislio Alan Mathison Turing. Na njegovim temeljima rade današnja računala. Uz definiciju stroja prikazani su različiti načini poučavanja o radu stroja i njegovoj primjeni pri rješavanju problema za učenike osnovne ili srednje škole. Cilj rada je upoznati se s pojmom Turingovog stroja i predstaviti alate koji služe za simulaciju njegovog rada. Napravljena je međupredmetna korelaciju između matematike, informatike i tehničke kulture. Na taj je način prikazan interdisciplinarni pristup poučavanju, odnosno dan je primjer STEM edukacije.
Abstract (english)	This thesis presents the historical development of computing are presented in it. Inventions, which were revolutionary for the time when they were created, are presented. Particularly prominent is the Turing machine designed by Alan Mathison Turing. He laid the basis upon which modern computers work. Together with the machine definition, various ways of teaching about how the machine operates and its application in solving problems for elementary or high school students are presented. The aim of this paper is to get acquainted with the concept of the Turing machine and to present the tools that serve to simulate how it operates. The paper also presents the interdisciplinary correlation between mathematics, information technology and technical education. In this way, an interdisciplinary approach to teaching is presented, i.e., an example of STEM education is given.
