Abstract
BRENDA (BRaunschweig ENzyme DAtabase), enzimska baza podataka predstavlja sveobuhvatan skup informacija o metaboličkim enzimima na temelju primarne literature. Baza podataka sadrži podatke o najmanje 83 000 različitih enzima iz 9 800 različitih organizama, razvrstanih u približno 4 200 skupina na osnovu enzimskih klasifikacijskih (EC) brojeva. BRENDA uključuje biokemijske i molekularne informacije o enzimima, njihove reakcije i specifičnosti, funkcionalna svojstva enzima, strukturu enzima, primjenu enzima, enzimsku stabilnost pri različitim uvjetima, bolesti vezane uz enzime, način izoliracije i pročišćavanja enzima, kao i poveznice na literaturu i druge baze podataka. Podaci za BRENDu se prikupljaju i procjenjuju iz oko 79 000 literaturnih izvora, koje su citirane u sustavu za pronalaženje medicinskih informacija (PubMed). BRENDA podaci mogu se preuzeti u obliku tekstualne datoteke od početka 2007. godine, a najnovija verzija je dostupna od srpnja 2010. Enzimska baza podataka BRENDA je dostupna na webu, na internet adresi http://www.brenda‐enzymes.org.
Abstract (english)
BRENDA (Braunschweig Enzyme Database) is a comprehensive set of information about metabolic enzymes on the basis of the primary literature. The database contains information on at least 83 000 different enzymes from 9 800 different organisms, classified in approximately 4 200 EC numbers. BRENDA includes biochemical and molecular information on classification and nomenclature, reaction and specificity, functional parameters, occurrence, enzyme structure, application, engineering, stability, disease, isolation and preparation, links and references. Data are collected and evaluated from approximately 79 000 references, which are associated with system for finding medical information (PubMed) BRENDA data can be downloaded in a text file from the beginning of 2007, and the latest version is available from July 2010. The database is available on the web at http://www.brenda‐enzymes.org.
