Abstract	Endodoncija mliječnih zuba uključuje liječenja njihove pulpe i periapikalnih tkiva. Ona se razlikuje od liječenja trajnih zuba jer se i sami mliječni zubi od trajnih razlikuju histologijom i morfologijom. Mliječni su zubi u usnoj šupljini prisutni od oko 6. mjeseca do 12. godine života. Za to ih se vrijeme nastoji očuvati i omogućiti njihovu fiziološku eksfolijaciju kako bi se razvoj čeljusti i nicanje njihovih trajnih nasljednika mogli normalno odvijati. Ako se sumnja na potrebu za endodontskim liječenjem, najprije se uzima anamnezu, provodi klinički pregled i dodatne metode testiranja poput testova vitaliteta i rendgenskog snimanja. Na temelju dobivenih informacija odlučuje se o planu terapije. Mogući terapijski postupci su indirektno ili direktno prekrivanje pulpe, pulpotomija ili pulpektomija. Cilj im je očuvati vitalitet zuba kada je moguće, a ako to nije moguće ili je zub već avitalan, nastoji ga se sačuvati zbog njegove funkcije i značaja u usnoj šupljini. Nakon završena endodontskoga liječenja, zub se trajno restaurira. U endodonciji mliječnih zuba koriste se mnogi materijali među kojima najraznovrsniju primjenu ima kalcijev hidroksid. Osim njega, kod pulpotomije se za fiksaciju preostale pulpe još koriste formokrezol i glutaraldehid, iako sve rjeđe. U istu svrhu koriste se i željezov sulfat, mineral trioksid agregat te nefarmakološke metode poput elektrokoagulacije i lasera. Između posjeta se koriste antiseptički ulošci (solutio Chlumsky) ili pasta kalcijeva hidroksida. Za punjenje kanala kod pulpektomije koriste se resorptivne paste, a najboljom se smatra pasta kalcijeva hidroksida i jodoforma.
Abstract (english)	Endodontic treatment of primary teeth consists of treating pulp and periapical tissue pathologies. It differs from treating permanent teeth, because they are different in histology and morphology. Primary teeth are present in the oral cavity from around the age of 6 months until 12 years of age. During that time, we try to preserve them and enable their natural exfoliation, so that normal development of the jaw and eruption of permanent successors can take place. If we suspect a need for endodontic treatment, we first have to take the patient's medical history, perform a clinical exam and do additional testing methods, like vitality testing and radiography. Possible treatments include indirect or direct pulp capping, pulpotomy and pulpectomy. Their goal is to keep the tooth vital if possible, and if it is not possible or the tooth is already avital, we try to preserve it for its function and importance in the oral cavity. After completing the endodontic treatment, the tooth is restored permanently. Many materials are used in the endodontics of primary teeth, among which calcium hydroxide is the most widespread. Other than that, formocresol and glutaraldehyde are used for the fixation of pulp tissue during pulpotomy. We use ferric sulphate for the same purpose, mineral trioxide aggregate and nonpharmacological methods like electrocoagulation and lasers. Between appointments we use antiseptic dressings (solutio Chlumsky) or calcium hydroxide paste. Resorbable pastes are used for filling a root canal in pulpectomy, and a paste of calcium hydroxide and iodoform seems to work best.
