Abstract	Visinska krivulja predstavlja odnos prsnog promjera i visine stabla iskazan matematičkom jednadžbom. Funkcije izjednačenja odabiru se iskustveno i po statističkim pokazateljima. Različite jednadžbe ocijenit će se pomoću statističkih pokazatelja kako bi se utvrdila opravdanost njihove primjene. Stabla jele su izmjerena u jelovo-bukovim šumama na području Gorskog kotara u UŠP Delnice u dvije gospodarske jedinice. Izmjereno je 550 stabala jele. Prikupljeni podaci obračunati su u programskom paketu Statistica 12. U radu je korišteno šest jednadžbi za izjednačenje visinskih krivulja. Rezultati dobiveni regresijskom analizom pokazali su da su sve jednadžbe za izjednačenje podjednako dobre. Najboljom se pokazala Prodanova funkcija izjednačenja, a najlošijom funkcija potencije.
