Abstract	Uvodni dio rada prikazuje specifičnosti i rizike radova u šumarstvu. Detaljna analiza i opis poduzeća Hrvatske šume d.o.o. (prihodi, zaposlenost, hijerarhijska struktura, etat i dr.) obrađena je u sklopu poglavlja „Objekt istraživanja“. U nastavku rada je detaljno objašnjena organizacija funkcije zaštite na radu i razina sigurnosti kao predmet istraživanja. Analiza trenda osnovnih pokazatelja sigurnosti po UŠP-u za petogodišnje razdoblje provedena je u sklopu rezultata istraživanja. Također, u istom poglavlju provedena je horizontalna analiza ključnih proizvodnih i sigurnosnih pokazatelja. Analiza pokazatelja proizvodnosti i poslovanja s pomoću baznog indeksa za promatrano petogodišnje razdoblje uključena je u istraživanje u cilju njihova uspoređivanja i povezivanja s kretanjem standardnih pokazatelja sigurnosti pri šumskom radu. U okviru diskusije i zaključaka argumentirana je, kroz prizmu osposobljavanja, uloga i značaj sigurnosti i humanizacije rada za ekonomiju poslovanja poduzeća Hrvatskih šuma d.o.o. Zagreb.
Abstract (english)	The introductory part of the document presents the specifics and risks of forestry work. Detailed analysis and description of the "Hrvatske šume d.o.o." company (income, employment, hierarchical structure, volume of processed wood, etc.) is written within the chapter "Object of research". The organization of the occupational safety function and the level of safety as a subject of research are explained in detail in the continuation of the document. The analysis of the trend of basic safety indicators for a five-year period in the forest administration branches was conducted as part of the research results. Also, in the same chapter, a horizontal analysis of key production and safety indicators was conducted. The analysis of productivity and business indicators using the base index for the observed five-year period is included in the research in order to compare them and connect them with the movement of standard forest safety indicators. Within the discussion and conclusions, the role and importance of safety and humanization of work for the business economy of the company Croatian forest company d.o.o. Zagreb was argued through the perspective of training.
