Abstract	biološkoj otpornosti i povećanoj dimenzionalnoj stabilnosti uz uvjet da mehanička svojstva ostanu što bolje očuvana. Svrha ovoga rada je nakon kemijske modifikacije limunskom kiselinom i termičke modifikacije u vakuumu drva jasena (Fraxinus angustifolia Vahl) i bukve (Fagus sylvatica L.) usporediti dimenzionalnu stabilnost, intenzitet bubrenja u vremenu te odrediti higroskopnu histerezu. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata odrediti će se prednosti i nedostaci svake modifikacije.
