Abstract
Slobodan softver otvorenog izvornog koda (eng. Free and Open Source Software - FOSS) je većinom besplatan softver za svakodnevno korištenje i vrlo dostupan korisnicima. Troškovi nabave softvera namijenjenog u obrazovne svrhe mogu se uvelike smanjiti te se prenamijeniti u druge obrazovne svrhe. Otvorenost koda omogućava velikoj zajednici volontera da zajedno razvijaju FOSS bez obzira na kojem se dijelu svijeta nalaze. Također, otvorenost koda može poslužiti i u obrazovanju tako da se iz prve ruke može pratiti i sudjelovati u razvoju softvera koji se može koristiti i kod kuće za razne svrhe. Diplomski rad sastavljen je od teorijskog i istraživačkog dijela. Istraživanje je provedeno pomoću anketnog upitnika na 267 ispitanika na području gradova Zagreba i Velike Gorice. Cilj istraživanja bio je istražiti koristi li se slobodan softver u osnovnoškolskom obrazovanju i Učiteljskom fakultetu u Zagrebu te interes studenata/ica Učiteljskog fakulteta, učitelja/ica razredne nastave i učitelja/ica predmetne nastave za korištenje slobodnog softvera. Rezultati prikazuju kako se u osnovnim školama na području Zagreba i Velike Gorice te na Učiteljskom fakultetu u Zagrebu djelomično koristi slobodan softver. Također, prikazuju kako su ispitanici zainteresirani za korištenje slobodnog softvera, da nisu dovoljno informirani, ali da imaju volju educirati se i potražiti korisničku podršku.
Abstract (english)
Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) is mostly free software for everyday use and it is very available. Purchasing costs for software for educational purposes can be greatly reduced and reassigned to other educational purposes. Open code allows a big community of volunteers to develop FOSS no matter where on Earth they are. Also, open code can serve in education, so you can first-hand follow and participate in development of software which can be used at home for various purposes. Graduate thesis is composed of theoretical and research part. The research was conducted with a survey questionnaire on 267 respondents on areas of cities Zagreb and Velika Gorica. Main goal of the research was to investigate if free and open source software is used in elementary schools and Teacher's University of Zagreb and interest of students and elementary school teachers for using FOSS. The results show that elementary schools in areas of cites Zagreb and Velika Gorica and Teacher's University of Zagreb partly use FOSS. Also, they show that the respondents are interested in using FOSS, that they are not informed enough, but that they have a will to educate themselves and seek for user support.
