The topic of the graduate work is the influence of economic trends on business decision making. The theoretical part of the work shows the economic trends that affect business, economy, society, technology, and others that contribute to the world. These economic trends are divided into: Globalization trends, the New Economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0). The theoretical framework of strategic management was used to research and analyze two selected companies from the electrical industry, and also to examine the environment in which companies operate. For the purposes of the research, interviews were conducted with company managers to gain insight into how these trends affect the company's operations and what strategies are needed to effectively adapt companies to the new changes in business. In both companies, human resources and technological plants required changes in the previous business. It turned out to be really important for the management to analyze the environment in a timely manner and adopt quality strategies. Otherwise, they would risk possible negative consequences in the company's operations.
