Abstract

The content of urea in cow's milk is one of the applicable indicators supply cows with proteins and energy. On ureas content affected by many factors of which the season is recognized as one of important factors. On the urea concentration in milk seasons acts directly through the influence of microclimate environment or indirectly by feeding cows. The goal of the research was to examine the effect of the seasons on the content of urea in milk of cows. The study included 6,057 analytical records of concentration of urea in milk of 880 cows of Simmental and Holstein breed. Average concentration of urea in milk was 27.31 mg / ml. Only 31.74% of cows due to the desirable content of urea and protein in milk were in the feeding energy-protein balance. A significant (P <0.01) effect of season on the content ofurea in milk of cows was found. The higher concentration of urea in milk than recommended during the spring and summer months should be corrected to Management feeding of the flock. The positive correlation was observed between the content of urea in milk in relation to daily quantity of milk and of milk fat content (P<0.05), while the correlation between the content of urea in milk and protein contentis negative (P <0.05).
