Abstract
Šimšir je gusti zimzeleni grm spora rasta koji je rasprostranjen je na svim područjima Hrvatske i stoljećima se koristi za uređivanje povijesnih vrtova zbog čega zabrinjava pojava šimširovog moljca. On predstavlja relativno novu vrstu invazivnog štetnika ukrasnog bilja koji je u Hrvatskoj prvi puta registriran 2012. Razvija se u četiri stadija te ima dvije do tri generacije godišnje. Širi se aktivnim letom leptira te transportom ukrasnih sadnica. Tijekom veljače 2015. godine provedeno je vizualno promatranje pojave šimširovog moljca u Slavonskom Brodu te nastalih šteta. Rezultati promatranja ukazuju kako je šimširov moljac zahvatio brojne šimšire u Slavonskom Brodu, budući su uočeni karakteristični prijelazi boja, kožnati listići izgriženi pri vrhovima pa čak i potpuno uništene živice
Abstract (english)
Box tree is a dense, slow growth, shrub had widespread in all areas of the Croatia and has been used for centuries to edit historic gardens and that’s why the phenomenon of the Box tree moth is causing worries. It is a relatively new invasive pest of ornamental plants in Croatia. In Croatia is registered for the first time in 2012. It develops in four stages and has two to three generations per year. It is expanding on new areas with active flight of butterflies and transport of seedings. Visual observation of the appearance of the Box tree moth in Slavonski Brod and incurred losses was performed during the February 2015. Results of the observation indicates that the Box tree moth caught many Boxwood in Slavonski Brod, since the observed typical color transitions, leather leaves bitten at tips and even completely destroyed hedges
