The introduction of this final paper points to the issue of environmental pollution and the increasing importance of renewable energy sources. In the introduction, basic divisions have been made and basic information on the development and application of wind power plants has been given. In the second chapter, wind is considered as a source of energy. The wind formation and its basic characteristics are explained. The third chapter is about exploitation of wind and the development of wind power through history. Some important discoveries that preceded the wind power plants known today are indicated. The following chapter describes the construction types of a wind turbine. Basic division, advantages and disadvantages of vertical axis wind turbine are described, while the wind turbines with the horizontal axis are described by the number of blades, according to the parts and choice of the location. In the practical part, a process of making a wind turbine model with a horizontal shaft is explained in detail and parametric measurements at different wind speeds have been performed. In the last chapter an analysis of the obtained data was performed and certain conclusions were made.
