COVID-19 is a disease caused by a new corona virus called SARS-CoV-2. The virus spread very quickly around the world and presented a major challenge to all healthcare institutions. The virus appeared in humans in December 2019 in Wuhan, in the Chinese province of Hubei. World Health Organization (WHO) March 11, 2020 declared a global pandemic (2). The first case in the Republic of Croatia was diagnosed at the end of February 2020, and by Septembre 2021, about 372 000 people were infected, out of whom over 8 300 died. As this is a newly discovered virus, as well as the disease it causes, great efforts are still being made to find an effective drug / vaccine. There is still a lot of information missing about COVID-19 and pregnancy. For now, the clinical course of the disease in pregnant women is known to be similar to that in the general population. The poor outcome of the virus in the course and outcome of pregnancy has not yet been proven, and there is no conclusive evidence of vertical transmission through breast milk. In this retrospective cohort study 30 infected pregnant women with COVID-19 and an equal number of uninfected pregnant women were included.
