This master thesis covers a project of an aluminium spatial lattice canopy located in the Zagreb area. Ground plan dimensions of the canopy are 32 m x 48 m while the roof spatial lattice is supported on four aluminium branched columns, each 10 m high. Aluminium alloy EN – AW – 6082 – T6 is assumed for the load-bearing structural members. In addition to the self–weight of the structure, all variable loads (snow, wind, and seismic action) are considered according to the location of the structure. Three conceptual solutions are considered in the initial phase of the analysis (load analysis and calculationof internal forces and bending moments), and then, the optimal solution was chosen. Third variant proved to be the best in terms of material consumption, number of load-bearing members, functionality of the covered space and aesthetics. Further analysis includes design of structural members according to HRN EN. In addition, as the primary focusof this thesis, a parametric analysis of the aluminium structural members buckling resistance according to HRN EN 1999 – 1 – 1 : 2015 and prEN 1999 – 1 – 1 : 2021 was performed. Different cross-sectional shapes for different buckling lengths and different aluminium alloys were analysed.The results indicate differences in resistance between the two versions of Eurocode 9 as a result of modifiedbuckling classes, i.e., new buckling curves.
