Object of this graduation work is to point out the importance of human potentials in organizations as fundamental asumptions for carrying out business activities because with their knowledge, which is nowdays, in informatical age the most valuable and run all the other resources. Management can only in work with others and with the help of others to achieve goals of business organizations and for that must own the knowledge and skills of people management. Management of human potentials is a demanding, continuous process. It extends throughout all management functions and one of the main purpose of managers is to motivate employees. Motivation is one of the most important questions within the field of the management. The reason for that is the fact that organizations achieve their aims and results through work performance of their employees. The higher employee productivity is the more successful the organization is and vice versa. Managers are constantly trying to increase productivity of their employees. Among many conditions influencing productivity of workforce, motivation of workers is especially important. Graduation work is conceived in three chapters: The first part defines the management as a skill and wisdom. Functions, tasks, rolls and expertise that managers must have are listed in this section. The second part explains managing with business function of human potentials. The third part explains the theory of work motivations and the importance of motivation to increase interest of people and their success at work.
