In our country, as well as everywhere in the world one of the most important branches of the economy is agriculture. In order for farmers to produce the necessary food, they need assistance of their native country, both in Croatia and in the European Union, which Croatia joined as member state 2013. For each support it is necessary to meet certain conditions, requirements, norms and procedures. In order for the beneficiaries to meet all the required criteria in a faster and easier way, the Paying Agency, for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development (PAARFD) is facilitating this through information systems, education and on the spot assistance. Access to IT applications where Claims for support are made from the comfort of their home and at the time that is conveninent to them makes it easy for users to maximize their time. This way, farmers can use the most of the working day to carry out the required work in the field fishermen at sea or the beneficiaries in rural areas for carrying out agricultural and non-agricultural activities supported through the rural development programme. The development of the technology also develops information systems in PAAFRD: Agronet, Arkod (the national land parcel identification system LPIS), Registers, as well as other control mechanisms for the purpose of efficient submission of Claims for support and financial support from both EU funds and assistance from the Republic of Croatia. Communication with beneficiaries is extremely important, and if achieved through social networks -it is certainly more efficient and more practical. Agronet is a system that facilitates everyone’s work, provides insight into the state of used land, shows decisions approving or refusing or rejecting ( when incomplete ) certain rights or or applications.
